    Tamoxifen itchy skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them: Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088. I have been on Tamoxifen for four months now, and although the side effects have been minimal (hot flashes, couple of night sweats, feeling of heaviness), I have now developed a rash on my legs and shoulders..itchy and blotchy. I'm not finding any other allergens that could be causing this, and my natural assumption is the meds. Thanks, Kathy My hands have this and a new member on my team, trained in lymph drainage therapy, is going to share a few product names with me for "our" skin. My Onc's office this morning recommended Benedryl to help with the reaction, and Hydrocortisone Cream for the itch, and to return for a visit in two days if no relief. Stay tuned and I'll share more when I have the names. I have just brushed this off as the side effect "skin changes" listed for Tamoxifen. It's embarrassing when I have to shake someone's hand. I don't know about you but the itching and welts were nearly intolerable. I put zinc oxide on the top of my foot before I have to wear socks, because the socks seem to make it worse. I am glad you posted your question as I am having a similar problem. I noticed that I started getting rashes when I worked in the yard. He also said these rashes are common with tamoxifen. I also have patches behind both ears, at the base of my hairline on the back of my neck, and the top of my feet. I was first diagnosed with poison ivey, then scabies, and finlaly a dermatoligist said it was a severe allergic reaction to some unknown source. When it started, my GP said it was eczema from nerves and gave me Hydrocortisone. The top of my hand is bright red and it itches like crazy. I get the most relief from Noxzema and Nivea Cream. It never truly goes away, just sometimes it's better than others. I have had problems on my right hand for a year now (I've been on Tamoxifen since Aug 2010), that won't go away. My dermatologist said it looks more like psoriasis, and gave me something else to use.

Re Side effects tamoxifen- itching I took only 3 tamoxifen tablets and felt dry skin all over - nothing helped. My face is red like a sunburn and feels like a sunburn with a toughened skin on top! Tamoxifen is used to treat breast cancer, womb cancer and sometimes other cancers and conditions. It can be given as tablets or syrup that you can take at. Hi there Amarylis, I have been on Tamoxifen for 18 months. Have not had the itch you describe but because of the dryness tamoxifen causes I have been prone to soreness and infection for which the doctor prescribed anti-fungal cream With steroid to aid healing.

My skin feels dry all over my body, but it bothers me most on my face, which has become very sensitive and dry and sometimes now stings when I put moisturizer on it. For the face and radiated breast, been using the glycerine-rosewater combo (I keep it in the fridge, it's very refreshing). Does anyone know if dry/itchy skin is a temporary SE or is this just how my skin's going to be on the Tamox? The seller cares about its name and image and makes a quick delivery. As for me, I also prefer the original rather than analogues of the same drug. The principles of effectiveness are different, and there might be more side effects. I take Nolvadex only online, as I already trust the company, and they deliver it without any problems. I was afraid of side effects of Nolvadex, but, actually, I didn’t face them at all. I’ve been taking Nolvadex for a few months, and it has a good effect on me.

People treated with appropriate antibiotics in the early stages of Lyme disease usually recover rapidly and completely. Antibiotics commonly used for oral treatment include doxycycline, amoxicillin, or cefuroxime axetil. People with certain neurological or cardiac forms of illness may require intravenous treatment with antibiotics such as ceftriaxone or penicillin. Treatment regimens listed in the following table are for localized (early) Lyme disease. See references below (Hu 2016; Sanchez 2016) for treatment of patients with disseminated (late) Lyme disease. These regimens are guidelines only and may need to be adjusted depending on a person’s age, medical history, underlying health conditions, pregnancy status, or allergies. For people intolerant of amoxicillin, doxycycline, and cefuroxime axetil, the macrolides azithromycin, clarithromycin, or erythromycin may be used, although they have a lower efficacy.
