He also said to take the Tindamax 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off. I hate the bitter, metallic taste in my mouth from it. Then, he realized my yeast wasn't clearing up after 4 weeks on Nystatin, so he said hold the Biaxin while I take 10 days of Diflucan.

Clarithromycin Biaxin 500 mg 1 pill 2 times a day and tinidazole 500 mg 1 pill 2 or 3 times a day. Key Point. Tinidazole can remove biofilms that block the immune system and antibiotics. See Biofilms Lyme Disease Gated Communities for more information about biofilms and treatments. Macrolide plus Quinine Derivative plus Azole Apr 08, 2017 I went to my eye Dr. for regular my exam and she said the Visual Fields Test is the one to have. I wasn't on Plaquenil but Lyme and cos can affect our eyes and I wanted them checked. I recommend if you're going on Plaquenil to have a baseline test done. MATERIAL/METHODS 235 patients with a multi-symptom complex typical of chronic Lyme disease, ie fatigue, musculoskeletal pain, and neurocognitive dysfunction and with serologic reactivity against B.burgdorferi were treated with a macrolide antibiotic eg clarithromycin and hydroxychloroquine.

Within an hour I developed a really irritating sore throat and felt really out of it. So last night, I took my first doses of Diflucan and Plaquenil.

  7. Starting slow sounds wise. When I took Biaxin & Plaquenil, I only felt really tired for a couple days, but then I haven't had any muscle pain. Plaquenil is widely used, although there is the very rare case of vision loss on it. My doc assumed me it was quite rare and that I would do the requisite vision tests to keep tabs on that.

Hi Chris, welcome to this forum. Of course it is hard to say what the cause is of the increase of symptoms. But I remember I was also feeling a bit worse in the first weeks after I had started taking clarithromycin and hydroxychloroquine. Plaquenil can cause eye issues, good to get regular eye check up if you take it for a few months or more. which I have not done. yet Sounds like you got everything covered with the Biaxin and the Doxy, probably a good combo. I hope those antibiotics help you make some progress. However, there are no studies about Babesia treatment in Lyme. In Lyme, the experience of most experienced Lyme Literate Medical Doctors is that it can take four to five months of continuous antimicrobials for Babesia to resolve. In clinical practice, many different combinations of herbal and prescription antimalarials work to cure Babesia.

Limited studies have shown a possible link between GABA and lowered blood pressure. Researchers haven't confirmed whether or not it works for the many reasons people take it. There has not been enough research to uncover the side effects of GABA supplements. Overall, there isn't enough information to be sure about the safety of GABA.
